November 9, 2007 We were recently asked by a potential client, what makes OP Solutions different from other vendors… Our focus and strength are on the nuts-and-bolts of IP portfolio management. This is exemplified by our knowledge of the industry and understanding of how an IP-shop works. We maintain this position by staying in touch with changes in the IP landscape while being flexible and responsive to the needs of our user-base. There is currently no better example of this than the new PTO rules for claims and continuations. Though the laws themselves have not passed yet, the upgrade with these new features was distributed to all our clients more than two weeks prior to the original effective date of November 1, 2007, as part of our normal support service with no additional fees at all. This current example is not an exception. We have taken similarly decisive action during previous industry changes such as: Inventors Protection Act, Enactment of GATT Laws, US ascension to Madrid Protocol, Community Trademarks, Community Designs, PCT Practice Reforms, etc. It is simply, how we do business! Changes like these reflect on the vendor’s responsiveness and ability to react to changes in the IP industry. This speaks to the timely and thorough service we provide. You might want to compare this to the actions taken by other vendors.
